Bulk Actions

TeamBook Connected Org lets you act on many people at once — useful when you need to email a whole team, kick off a group Teams conversation, copy a list of email addresses or phone numbers, or export a slice of the directory to CSV for further work.

Selecting people

Each colleague card has a checkbox in the top-right corner. Click it to select the person.

  • A selection toolbar appears at the bottom of the page once at least one person is selected.
  • The toolbar shows the count of selected people and the available bulk actions.
  • Selections persist across pagination and across switching layouts (Grid / List / Business card / Polaroid).
  • Click Clear in the toolbar to deselect everyone in one click.
Tip: Combine search and filters with selection. Filter to "Engineering" department + "London" office, then select the visible results to action the whole sub-team at once.

Available actions

Once you have one or more people selected, the toolbar offers:

Message on Teams

Opens Microsoft Teams (desktop or web) with a new group chat already populated with everyone you selected. If you selected one person, it opens a 1:1 chat instead.

The action uses the standard https://teams.microsoft.com/l/chat/0/0?users=... deep link, so it falls back to Teams on the web if the desktop app isn’t installed.

Send Email

Opens your default mail client with a new message pre-addressed to every selected colleague in the To: field. Uses the mailto: protocol, so it works with Outlook, Outlook on the web, Apple Mail, Gmail (when configured as the default handler), and so on.

Copy emails

Copies a comma-separated list of every selected colleague’s email address to your clipboard — ready to paste into any tool that doesn’t accept mailto: (spreadsheets, distribution-list editors, CRM contact fields).

Copy phones

Copies a comma-separated list of every selected colleague’s primary phone number to your clipboard. Mobile is preferred where available; falls back to the first business phone.

Export CSV

Downloads a CSV file containing the selected people with these columns:

  • Display name
  • Email address
  • Job title
  • Department
  • Office location
  • Mobile phone
  • Business phone

The file is named after the current view (e.g. teambook-export-engineering.csv) and opens cleanly in Excel, Google Sheets, Numbers, or any text editor.

Permissions and privacy

Bulk actions never expose anything that wouldn’t already be visible on each colleague’s individual card. CSV export and clipboard copies happen entirely in the browser — nothing is sent to any server, including ours.
