Bulk Actions

TeamBook Employee Directory lets you act on multiple people at once — useful when you need to email a whole team, kick off a group Teams conversation, or copy a list of email addresses for use elsewhere.

Selecting people

To select a person, click the checkbox that appears when you hover over their card in the directory. You can select as many people as you like across pages.

  • A selection toolbar appears at the bottom of the web part once at least one person is selected.
  • The toolbar shows the count of selected people.
  • To deselect everyone, click the × or “Clear selection” button in the toolbar.
Tip: You can combine search/filter with selection — filter to "Engineering" department, then select all visible results to email the whole team.

Available actions

Once you have one or more people selected, the toolbar offers the following actions:

Send email

Opens your default email client (Outlook or the web) with a new message pre-addressed to all selected people. Each person’s work email address is added to the To: field.

Start Teams chat

Opens Microsoft Teams (desktop or web) with a new group chat or channel conversation pre-populated with the selected people.

Note: Teams chat is initiated via the msteams:// protocol. If the Teams desktop app is installed it will open directly; otherwise it falls back to Teams on the web.

Copy email addresses

Copies a comma-separated list of all selected email addresses to your clipboard — ready to paste into any email client, spreadsheet, or document.
