Employee Directory
The Employee Directory is the default view when you open TeamBook Employee Directory. It shows all active users in your organisation pulled live from Microsoft Entra ID, and gives you fast, flexible tools to find the right person.
Searching for a person
Use the search bar at the top of the web part to find anyone in your organisation. As you type, results filter in real time — no need to press Enter.
TeamBook Employee Directory matches across:
- Display name (first name, last name, or both)
- Job title
- Department
- Email address
Filtering results
Below the search bar you will find the filter bar with two quick-filter dropdowns:
| Filter | Source |
|---|---|
| Department | Departments pulled from Entra ID (or your configured SharePoint list) |
| Office / Location | Office locations from Entra ID user profiles |
Filters combine with search — you can search “John” and filter by “London” simultaneously.
People cards
Each person is shown as a card containing:
- Profile photo (or a generated initial avatar if no photo is set)
- Display name
- Job title
- Department
- Presence indicator (online, away, busy, offline) — if presence is enabled
- Favourite star icon
Viewing a full profile
Click anywhere on a person’s card to open their profile panel. See the Employee Profile page for details on what the profile panel shows.
Presence indicators
When presence is enabled by your administrator, a coloured dot appears on each person’s profile photo:
| Colour | Status |
|---|---|
| Green | Available |
| Yellow | Away / Be right back |
| Red | Busy / In a meeting / Do not disturb |
| Grey | Offline / Unknown |
Presence is read live from Microsoft Teams via the Graph Presence API and refreshes automatically.
Presence.Read.All Graph permission. If your admin has not approved this permission, presence indicators will not appear.
Pagination
By default, the directory shows 25 people per page. Use the Next / Previous controls at the bottom to move through the results. Your administrator can change the page size in the property pane.
